Custom domain DNS troubleshooting

Checklist:

• CNAME vs A record — Use the record type fanmigo expects. A flattened apex + CNAME-equivalent setup depends on your DNS provider; some call it “CNAME flattening” or ALIAS.
• Proxy/CDN layers — If Cloudflare or another proxy sits in front of the name, confirm it is not overriding TLS or routing in a way that blocks our verification job from seeing the expected target.
• Typo in hostname — The domain in fanmigo must match the public DNS name exactly (including www vs apex).
• Status still pending — DNS can take time; after changes, allow up to the TTL plus a short buffer.

If a domain is wedged, operators can reset domain metadata from the admin tools—contact support with your profile slug and hostname.
